There are many companies in Singapore manufacturing electronic goods. There are many industries involved in the manufacture of the printed circuit board. These are the main features in any electronic equipment. These boards have various electronic components which are connected with each other by strips of metal which conduct the electricity to activate these components. What Is A Printed Circuit Board? A printed circuit board is basically a board that has various electronic components fixed to it with metal paths connecting these components. These are used in almost all electronic equipment. They form the unit which allows electrical power to pass through all these components to get the necessary output. The board is also made in a small size for use in computers. This is done by the photolithographic process. There are copper tracts on these boards which signify the path on which electricity passes. The various components are placed on these paths by a machine. The placement is done as per the requirement of each equipment and this is controlled by a computer and a machine. The component is placed along with a little solder. The board is then baked as a whole where the solder melts making the components join the board. This completes the circuit. Testing the Printed Circuit Board Tests are conducted on the printed circuit board to see if everything is fine with the board. The board must be tested to see if the parts are connected properly. Unless there is a proper connection the board will not work properly. The testing includes checking opens, shorts, resistance, capacitance, and component orientation. This means that the circuit and the various components and their functions are tested completely. The other method is flying probe testing. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. We see here the method and advantages of in-circuit testing. In-Circuit Testing The advantage of in-circuit testing is that they are most useful in testing boards which are more advanced and high volume. This kind of testing offers a quicker process and result. Agilent is one of the very efficient in-circuit testing fixtures that are very commonly used and the cost per testing is lesser. With the in-circuit method, you can test each component in the circuit individually. There is also an option to test LED components by turning on and checking the color and brightness. Keysight is a fixture that can be used in both testings offline and in-line and is very efficient and fast.
